The problem

Most test management tools are built for managers who want dashboards, not testers who need to get work done. They're bloated with features nobody asked for, pricing that punishes growth, and interfaces that require training to understand.

We've used them all. TestRail, Zephyr, qTest, Xray. They all started simple and became complicated. Every "enterprise feature" is another checkbox in a modal. Every integration is another configuration screen.

TestPlan does fewer things, better. We believe test management should be invisible - it should help you ship software, not become another project to manage.

• MCP-first, no bespoke integrations We don't bundle AI or build one-off integrations that break. We expose a full MCP server so your existing AI tools can do the heavy lifting. No extra tokens, no vendor lock-in.
• Fair, transparent pricing No per-seat games. No enterprise sales calls. One price that includes everything.
• Your data is yours We don't sell your data. We don't mine it. We don't use it to train AI models.

The company

TestPlan is built by The Code Guy Ltd, a small software company based in England, UK. We've been building web applications since 2006 and we're entirely bootstrapped - no VC funding, no investor pressure, just customers.

This independence means we can focus on what's right for users, not what looks good on a growth chart. We're not trying to become a unicorn. We're trying to build software that works.
