Common questions
Is the Starter plan really free?
Yes. One user, up to 5 features, 50 test cases, full MCP access. No credit card required. Use it as long as you want — it's not a trial.
What's the difference between Pro and Team?
Pro gives you unlimited content and up to 3 users — great for solo testers or small teams. Team adds up to 10 users, help centre publishing, advanced reporting, 90-day activity log, and priority support.
Why no per-seat pricing?
Per-seat pricing punishes you for adding team members. We'd rather you invite everyone who needs access without worrying about the bill going up. One flat rate per plan.
Do you offer annual billing?
Yes. Pay annually for Pro or Team and save ~17%. Pro drops to $41/mo ($490/yr) and Team drops to $124/mo ($1,490/yr).
What is MCP?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI tools interact with external services. TestPlan exposes its full API as an MCP server, so tools like Claude Code, Copilot, and Cursor can manage your test suite directly.
Do I need to pay for AI separately?
TestPlan doesn't bundle AI or charge per token. You use whatever AI tools you already have. If you're using Claude Code or Copilot, those costs are between you and your AI provider — TestPlan charges nothing extra.
Can I switch plans?
Yes, upgrade anytime. If you upgrade mid-cycle, we'll prorate the difference. Downgrade requests are handled by support.
What payment methods do you accept?
All major credit cards via Stripe. Enterprise customers can pay by invoice.
